Business Development Executive

Role Overview

As a Business Development Executive (BDE) you will be part of a team who are jointly responsible for servicing and growing our SME accounts.

The BDE will be responsible for generating revenue opportunities for the BDMs with a specific focus on Parasol 360 along with additional umbrella and payroll opportunities. You will work closely with a BDM to drive opportunities and provide account management delivering a first-class service.

The BDE will be responsible for growing the referrals and joiners from the portfolio of SME accounts through proactive account and stakeholder management.

Role Profile:

You will service a portfolio of SME accounts, working as part of the BDM sales team covering queries across a large group of accounts.

You will take full ownership of an individual portfolio of accounts allowing you to demonstrate your ability to develop them and deliver growth

You will be expected to work with the BDM team and as an individual to grow your accounts through active new business development and account management.

You will be required to adhere to sales KPI’s to help structure your day-to-day activity. These KPI’s will include both Teams and phone-based sales activity, % to target and knowledge quizzes.

The role will involve sourcing and working in conjunction with the BDMs on Parasol 360 opportunities, as well as larger opportunities which require face to face support.

You will be required to ensure the accuracy of account data by ensuring a continuously cleansing process is in place using Salesforce.

Skills and Experience Required:

· Sales experience.

· Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to build relationships.

· Strong focus on uncovering new business and growing smaller accounts, but also maintaining relationships with the accounts uncovered.

· Good time management skills.

· Experience of Salesforce or another CRM is desirable.

· Tenacious with an ability to uncover sales opportunities.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet agreed targets.

· Previous experience in a BDM role desirable.

· Ability to focus on processes, and experience with salesforce CRM
